R.I.P. Mr. Glass....you were our next door neighbors on Mackenzie Street in Westland Michigan. Dick & Fran were good people and my parents thought the world of you both. I used to babysit for you occasionally and remember Nancy as a cute little girl. I remember when you put up a basketball hoop on your garage because we didn't have enough room in our driveway. Not to say that you didn't enjoy it too, but I know I sure appreciated it. I played almost every day, and you often joined me. Thank you for your service also. God bless you and the whole family, John Gomez Howell, Michigan

Mr. Glass worked in my classroom for a decade helping my 5th graders with their math. He was so special to me and our kids at Edison. I am so sad to hear he has passed. He was such a special treasure in my life and I will miss him dearly. One thing I will always remember was the day of a Michigan vs Michigan state game. He’s walk in with a smirk and have some comment about how it was going to go down. I’d even call and congratulate him the few times Michigan beat the Spartans these past ten years. Thank you to his family for sharing such an amazing human being. I am a better person for having him in my life.

Such a lovely soul we have lost. Dick had a way about him that put people at ease, and showed he cared about you. I will always appreciate the kindness he shared with all he touched through his volunteer service. May fond memories help his family and friends find peace.

It was a pleasure to serve with Dick on the Senior Services RSVP Council. He was a special person and always cared about the community.
