A memorial visitation will be held at the church beginning at 10:00 AM, one hour prior to the service.

Age 80, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017. Dick was born in Dayton, OH, on October 14, 1936, the son of the late Rev. Richard W. and Sarah (Recher) Albert. He was preceded in passing by a son, Raymond A. Albert and a brother, Philip L. Albert. Dick was kind, intelligent and loving. He received Bachelor and Master Degrees from WMU. He was a dedicated worker who spent his career helping others as a Case Worker and eventual District Manager for the Michigan Department of Vocational Rehabilitation. When not working, he enjoyed being outdoors in nature hunting and fishing. He loved spending time at the family cabin in the Upper Peninsula. Dick was an avid reader, a skilled woodworker, and life-long lover of music from opera to bluegrass. He had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church for many years. Above all Dick loved his family and leaves them with wonderful memories to cherish of a life well lived. On September 27, 1957, he married Carolyn (Caswell) Albert who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Richard C. (Andrea) Albert and Stephen A. (Cindy) Albert; two grandsons, Richard B. Albert and J. Shaun Jeffery; two great-grandchildren, Jamison and Tristan Jeffery; a nephew, Philip (Fabiane) Albert; a sister-in-law, Laurna Burdick; brother-in-law, David (Sandy) Caswell; a cousin, David (Mary) Recher; many close friends.
