Age 80, passed away on August 23, 2019. He was born in Greenville, MI, on July 1, 1939 the son of the late Harold and Myrtle (Swanger) Jewell. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the Army and served our country with honor. He was a hard worker and was employed as a draftsman who worked with blueprints and construction plans. When not working he enjoyed watching western movies, was a fan of John Wayne and classic country music. He was fond of classic and muscle cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He also enjoyed working on and riding motorcycles. He was a self-taught guitarist and enjoyed golfing when he was able. Richard was a kind and loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother who will be missed by those who loved him. He is survived by four children, Cheryl Davis, Debbie Spires, Rita (Bruce) Knoll, Dean (Nicole) Jewell; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a brother, Gilbert (Mary) Jewell; special friend,Naidene Terpening; several nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a former spouse, Gloria Jewell; brother, Bill Jewell; sister, Joanne Barber; son-in-law, Paul Davis.
