He was born in Burlington, IA, on September 10, 1936, the son of the late Lawrence and Mildred (Harker) Rogers. After graduating high school, he enlisted in and served our country with honor in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged, he returned and made Michigan his home. He was also a loyal Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed spending time at the casino. He was a member of the Schoolcraft American Legion Post 475. Above all Dick loved his family and leaves them with wonderful memories. His smile and laughter will be missed by all. Dick is survived by four children, Tracy (Rick) Burgen, Rich (Amy) Rogers, Mike (Mary) Rogers, Matt (Billie) Rogers; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Judy Mohney and Laurie Rogers; nieces, nephews and friends.
