A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Bethel Baptist Church, 5701 Mt. Olivet Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49004; Pastor Dana Arledge officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – North.

Age 90, passed away at Rose Arbor Hospice Residence on Monday, September 26, 2016. Rita was born in Mexico on July 9, 1926. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo Duenas and Josefa Rangel; sisters, Eduarda and Socorro; brother, Felipe and son, Eduardo. Rita leaves behind her husband, Andres Acosta Ortiz; nine children, Antonia (Rosa), Arturo (Maria), Maria (Paul), Benito (Patricia), Juanita, Alfredo (Elsa), Andres (Beth), Rita and Abraham; 25 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and sisters in Mexico, Maria, Belen and Rosa.
