Cathy, Ben and family, I\'m so sorry for your loss. I\'ve know Bob for over 30 years. When I first met him at Bronson, I was surprised that they would hire someone in a wheelchair to work in the IV room. It didn\'t take long to realize that not only could he do the work, but he could do it better than most. When I moved over to the Cancer Center, Bob was on the top of my list to hire. I don\'t know if he was that excited to make the move (he was hard to read most of the time), but he made the move and I was relieved that he came over. I always used an example of dedication when I tell people that one winter day, Bob was in a car accident that ended up in his car rolling over. They had to use the Jaws of Live to open the door and get him out. He was upside down, trying to keep his head off the roof by using his hands to hold him up. He had the ambulance bring him to work. The only reason we knew he was in an accident, was that he was washing the blood of his hands from the broken glass. He finished his shift and then rolled his way to Bronson so Cathy didn\'t have to come get him. Bob introduced me to wheelchair basketball, where he excelled. One summer day, I asked Bob if he wanted to go tubing behind my boat. He \"jumped\" at the chance (Not very high, because he couldn\'t use his legs) to do something new. I started out slow to see how he would do. It didn\'t take long for Bob to ask me to give him a good ride. I tried my hardest, but I couldn\'t flip him out of the tube. Bob had such a unique sense of humor and an untouchable whit. Although he was faced with a lot of challenges throughout his life, he never complained and was always there for you. I am proud to call him a good friend. He will be missed.

Cathy and Ben. I was so sad to hear of Bob's passing. I absolutely loved working with him at Bronson and WMCC. His quick wit, wry sense of humor, and compassion for others was always delightful. He made work fun, and he was an absolutely stellar pharmacy technician. You will always rock on in my heart, Bob.

I went to high school with Cathy and Bob and all the Southland kids (that was cute Mandy!). He always amazed me with his grit and determination. Me being a very short person, I always remembered how tall he was. He was no ordinary man. Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. See you in Heaven Bob Groggel. Laine Perry Van Liere

Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Robert although I knew his brother Bill who had told me all about Robert. What an active life playing 🏀 and fishing. My wife and I are praying for Robert’s wife, children and family during these difficult days of loss. Rest well good and faithful servant for your job on earth is now complete.

Cathy: I remember Bob at Bronson. I didn't know him well but he always had a smile. May you be comforted knowing that many are praying for you! May Bob rest in peace.
