Age 91, passed away on Thursday morning December 20, 2018. He was on February 7, 1927 in Kalamazoo, the son of Russell Warren and Ethel (Clippinger) Richards. When Robert was a young man, he joined the United States Navy during WWII and served as a male nurse during his time in the service. After being discharged from the Navy, he returned home and married Shirley Beals on July 26, 1946. Bob began his working career at KVP/Sutherland as a press operator for many years.  Following his work at the paper mill, he began working at UpJohn Company in the Return Goods Department and eventually retired from UpJohn after many years of service.  Bob loved his cars and made fabulous to scale wooden replica models of standard automobiles.  He and Shirley enjoyed traveling all over the United States for many years, and particularly enjoyed Disney World. Bob enjoyed reading about many different subjects, especially cars. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley and his brothers, Jack, Virgil and Tom.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Timothy E. (Mary) Richards and Deborah Ann (Ralph) Daily, along with five grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Lucy, Lindsey and Amanda and his thirteen great grandchildren.
