Olivet Rd., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family on Friday evening, July 7, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to Kairos Dwelling, c/o the funeral home.

Age 90, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on June 26, 2023. Bob was born on November 4, 1932, in Marion, MI. After graduating high school, he served our country with honor in the U.S. Navy. On June 22, 1956, he married the love of his life Mary Lou (Hoort) DeKoekkoek who preceded him in passing in 2019. He is survived by his loving children, Douglas (Joan) DeKoekkoek, Steven (Susan) DeKoekkoek, Carol Moreno, James (Vanessa) DeKoekkoek; daughter-in-law, Colleen DeKoekkoek; son-in-law, David Sinkler; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Joe (Eleanor) DeKoekkoek, Ed (RuthAnn) DeKoekkoek, George (Joanne) DeKoekkoek, Judy VanDyke, Grace (Norm) Schut, Charles (Dianne) DeKoekkoek, Roger (Barbara) DeKoekkoek, Linda (Robert) Dirkse, Vickie (Bob) Secrist; many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a son, Dennis DeKoekkoek; daughter, Gloria Sinkler; son-in-law, Richard Moreno; grandchildren, Benjamin and Eric DeKoekkoek; two siblings, Lawrence DeKoekkoek and Elizabeth DeKoekkoek.
