Age 70, passed away on Tuesday morning, November 2, 2021. Bob was born in Kalamazoo, on December 30, 1950, the son of Robert and Nanny Colleen (Golliday) Gettys .  On June 25, 1999, he married Pamela Reinbold who survives him. Bob proudly served his nation in the United States Army. He worked for many years at Harbor Lite in Vicksburg, where he was a fork-lift driver. Bob was an avid horseshoe thrower. He played frequently, especially when he was in better health and he had the trophies to prove it. He also enjoyed playing cards and cribbage with family members. He loved candy and liked hiding it so others wouldn’t know. In his younger days Bob was an avid baseball player. He was a kid at heart. Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Jeff Gettys of Vicksburg, Jason (Michelle Hammel) Gettys of Comstock, Alicia (Larry) Towery of Battle Creek, Chelcie Gettys of Colorado; grandchildren Ryan, Anthony, Tyler, Hannah, Jay, Kenna, Emma and Kylie; great-grandchildren, Kayden, and Madilyn; brothers, Dennis (Lisa) Gettys, Dan Gettys, Gordon “Dee” Gettys; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Justin; a sister; and four brothers; and many friends.
