A service in witness to Bob’s life will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Climax United Methodist Church, 133 E. Maple St., Climax. Friends may greet the family following the service. Robert will be laid to rest with his wife, Doris, at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Climax American Legion Post 0465, or Climax United Methodist Church, c/o the funeral home.

Age 88, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Bob was born on July 9, 1933, in Vicksburg, the son of Harry and Ethel (Woodhouse) Harding. On September 7, 1956, he married Doris Elaine Bowen who preceded him in death in 2016. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in the Korean War, and was a member of the Climax American Legion Post 0465. Robert enjoyed hunting with his sons and grandchildren. He liked country/western music, especially Reba McIntyre. He was a regular season ticket holder with the KWings. Nothing gave him more pleasure than spending time with his family.  Bob is survived by his children, Bobby (Pam) Harding, Roseann Harding, Paul (Beth) Harding; grandchildren, Zach (Dakota) Harding, Drew (Samantha) Harding; great-grandchild, Westin Harding, with another great-grandchild on the way; sister, Mary Plyley; brother Don Harding; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.  Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Thelma Harding; brothers, Jerry Cobine, Walter Harding and Jim Harding; brother-in-law, Tony Plyley; and sister-in-law, Marylin Harding; step-sister, Ione Smith; a step-brother, Jim Jacobs.
