Age 62, passed away after short illness, at Ascension Borgess Hospital on Thursday, February 23, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sandusky, Michigan, on October 26, 1960. He was the youngest child of the late John and Beverly (Pace) Martin. He graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School in 1978, and three years later enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served our country until being honorably discharged in 1987. On July 19, 1986, he married the love of his life, Aimee L. (Kreslie) Martin. Together they raised three wonderful children, Cory, Danielle, and Nicholas. Robert was a true family man who always stayed focused on what was important in life. He was a dedicated father, which led to his involvement with Scouts. He was very proud that both his boys achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He worked hard to provide for the ones he loved, but also took time to enjoy camping, traveling, and attending concerts/sporting events. He was very passionate about his career, being with Solar Turbines for 33 years, splitting his time between California, Michigan, and Ohio. He was also a member of the American Legion, enjoyed reading, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Robert’s smile, laughter, and genuine nature will be missed, and he leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. Cherishing his memory is his wife, Aimee Martin; three children, Cory, Danielle, and Nicholas Martin; three siblings, Donald (Linda) Martin, Joe Martin, Nancy (Edward) Robinson; and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Martin.
