Age 80, passed away on January 29, 2024, at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born in Peoria, IL, on October 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Theodore and Mary Jean (Nobles) Paul. Roberta was a kind, loving and patient woman who was a living blessing to her family and friends. She had a strong faith and loved the Lord. Her greatest passion in life was spending time with her family and she was especially proud of her children and grandchildren. She always made herself available for conversation and provided gentle guidance no matter how trivial the matter. She leaves her grandchildren with fond memories of swimming in the pool, learning to drive, playing the game Sorry and the legacy of a life well lived. Her ability to laugh and have faith even in the hard times was an inspiration to those around her. She was a constant provider of support and encouragement she will be missed. She was united in marriage to Garry E. Halbert who survives. She is also survived by two children, Deborah Jean Bean and Steven Paul (Miranda) Halbert; grandchildren, Casey Halbert, Nathan Halbert, Cyrus Halbert; great-granddaughter, Harmoni; sister, Barbara and her family, Pam (Loren), Robbie (Betty) and his daughter Sarah, Karen (Doug), Nicole (Justin) and Jason (Chelsey); her loyal dog “Dolly”; other extended family and friends.
