Age 61, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Kairos Dwelling, with family by his side. Roger was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on August 16, 1959, the son of the late Franklin C. and Barbara A. (Casey) Thompson. Roger was a proud blue-collar worker who enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed having his free time, especially fishing the Great Lakes and the Michigan and Wisconsin river systems. He also enjoyed Harley Davidson motorcycles. Roger was a family man and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children, Trey (Brandy) Thompson and Kristie Yates; grandchildren, Jenna and Avery Thompson and Kaiden Yates; brother, Randy (Cathy) Thompson; sister, Shelly Thompson; several nieces and nephews; aunt, Sharon Doelker; sister in-law, Connie Thompson; best friend, Russ Winchell; and of course, his favorite bird, Baby. Besides his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Cindy Thompson and brother, Robert Thompson.
