Rosalie Carpenter passed away unexpectedly into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Good Friday, April 19, 2019.  Lee, as she preferred to be called, was born in Kalamazoo on February 18, 1945, to the late Frank and Ardelle (Michaels) Carpenter.  Lee was a very caring, loving, patient and giving person. Lee worked as the Activities Director for the Sisters of St Joseph until her retirement. She loved her job, coworkers, and the Sisters she served.  She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Church in Parchment, MI where she served as a Eucharistic Minister. She was a wonderful and involved grandmother who was always present at her grandchildren’s programs and sporting events. Lee is survived by her son, Timothy Carpenter, who is married to Joyce, who considered Lee to be her second mom and not her mother-in-law.  Lee has two grandchildren who were the loves of her life, Joshua (Kayla) Carpenter and Elizabeth Carpenter.  She is also survived by her sister, Nancy Smith; brother, Larry (Anne) Carpenter; nieces and nephews, Penny (Todd) Finch, Susan (Patrick) MacDougall, Amanda Carpenter, Michelle Carpenter, and Michael Carpenter Jr., Charles Ludlow.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Carpenter and her fiancé, William Hopper. Lee will be missed very much by all who knew and loved her.
