Age 74 passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 1, 2018. Sharon was born in Detroit, MI, on September 11, 1944, the daughter of the late Roy and Dorothy (Rochleau) Fitts. She was also preceded in passing by a brother, Roy Fitts Jr. From the beginning Sharon had a strong faith in the Lord. Her loving and gentle character made her a blessing to those who knew her. Sharon’s love for family and friends was always felt and all were welcome in her home. She loved children and dedicated her life to education those with special needs. She was proud of her community and understood the importance of community service. Sharon always seemed to cease the day and hand an active and adventurous spirit. She enjoyed being in nature, hiking and traveling. More than anything she loved her family and friends and leaves them with wonderful memories to cherish. In 1991, she married her loving husband John Turharsky who survives. She is also survived by two children, Sakila Elon and Scott (Crystal) Mayberry; three grandsons, Callum Mayberry, Ethan and Nash Ramirez; three siblings, Kenneth and Alan Fitts, Debra Young; nephews, Mark and John Young, Alan Fitts Jr.; a niece, Tina Fitts; many close friends.
