In accordance to her wishes, cremation will take place and she will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery at a later date. Age 77. Sharrron made her final journey on Thursday November 8, 2018 with her loving family at her side. She was born in Vinton, Ohio on April 9, 1941, the daughter of Ernest and Lucy Trainer. Sharron spent over 20 years in food service for the Kalamazoo Public school system and truly enjoyed working with the children in the Kalamazoo area. She met and was married to Kenneth McCurdie on May 4, 1961, most recently celebrating 57 years of marriage. Together, Sharron and Ken made many memories together, with their children and each other. Sharron was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Trainer and her sister, Phyllis Trainer. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Kenneth McCurdie of Kalamazoo, her children, Lorie (Michael) Griffin, Michael McCurdie and Todd (Renee) McCurdie, along with five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and her sister, Donna (Bill) VanderMeer.
