Sophie will be laid to rest next to her husband at St. John Catholic Cemetery in Jackson. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice, c/o the funeral home.

Age 92, passed away on Friday afternoon, October 23, 2020. Sophie was born in Jackson, MI, on March 8, 1928, the daughter of August and Apolonia (Konkol) Formella. She married Jack Keyes who preceded her in death in 1994. Sophie was meticulous housekeeper. She enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk. Sophie was a devout catholic and a member of St. Augustine Catholic Cathedral. She was also preceded in death by her twin sons, Jack Keyes, Jr. and Jim Keyes. Sophie is survived by her grandchildren, Ashley Keyes of Portage, Joshua Keyes of Kalamazoo, Justin Keyes of Norman, OK; great-grandchildren, Leah and Wesley Keyes; daughter-in-law, Cindy Keyes; nephew, Patrick (Kay) Thomas of Kalamazoo.
