Age 74, passed away early Monday morning, December 20, 2021. Steve was born in San Diego, CA, on August 28, 1947, the son of Harold E. and Maxine Lucille (Frere) Pyne. Steve had many hobbies including fishing, competitive bicycling, woodworking, hiking, reading and photography. Steve owned and operated his own framing business. He had built many homes and was a craftsman of furniture as well. Prior to living in Kalamazoo, he resided in North Carolina, where he enjoyed walking his dog. They were inseparable. They walked in the mountains everyday. He also enjoyed working in his yard, staying busy with small projects and grilling outside. Steve is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Pyne Frawley of Middleburg. FL; 3 grandchildren; siblings, Mary Proctor of Kalamazoo, Robert Pyne of Vicksburg, and Daniel Pyne of St. George, UT; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death his parents.
