Age 69, passed away June 19, 2023. Steve was born in Detroit, MI, on June 13, 1954, the son of Gerald and Patricia (Strine Harland) Thomas. Steve had been a teacher and administrator for many public school systems, including Gull Lake Public Schools and Northview Public Schools. He was very proud of his professional career. He worked diligently to give dignity to the handicapped in the area of education. Steve was an avid gardener. Steve is survived by his sister, Susan (Doka) Micakovic of Hamtramack, MI; brother Jon (Renee) Thomas of Lake, MI; several nieces and nephews; and many dear friends, including Mike Wisecup, Mark DeClurk and Timothy Ervin. Steve was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Scott Thomas.
