Private graveside services were held at Alamo Center Cemetery. The family wishes to thank the caregivers at Brookdale Assisted Living for making Suzanne feel at home over the past several years, and for caring for her with tender hearts. Memorial contributions may be made to Ascension Hospice, c/o the funeral home.

Age 95, passed away on February 5, 2020. Suzanne was born on July 28, 1924, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of John and Alice (Doorlag) Gerlofs. Suzanne was a graduate of Kalamazoo Central High School Class of 1942, and then attended Maher Business College before working for many years as a secretary at National Waterlift. She also worked for Bronson Hospital, and Ingersoll. Suzanne loved playing games of all kinds including Dominoes, but especially Scrabble. She enjoyed being a part of the activities in her most recent home including bingo. Suzanne loved pets and animals of all kind. She was a very special person and will be deeply missed by her loving family. Suzanne is survived by her daughter, Alice Jane (Jim) Goodwin of Scotts; grandchildren, Steve (Dorette) Goodwin and Mike Goodwin; great-grandchildren, Allison (John) Cole and Ben Goodwin; a sister, Harriet Hagadone; nieces and nephews; a special friend, Monique Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands and four siblings.
