Sylvia and my Mother Gloria shared the same birthday. One of my fondest memories was the Mother-Daughter banquet at Haven when the church was still located in Parchment back in the 1967. They decorated the tables with Lily of the Valley and had these little cups of nuts(cashews) on the tables. It was my first time at one of these events and my introduction to Lillie of the Valley and Cashews. I was 9 years old then. Sylvia was always smiling and bubbly. Her Christian love and warmth filled every room she entered. Her eyes were always smiling. I totally adored her. I will never ever forget her or Haven Reformed Church. Cecil Martens was Pastor back then. God truly has a blessing with her in heaven. My heart goes out to all the family. Haven't seen any of you in a very long time, but I do think of you. Fond memories of growing up and being a part of Haven including our annual events at Camp Geneva. God bless you all.

Sylvia started as a teller at First Federal and then became my secretary as we ran the facilities for First Federal and then Standard Federal. She was a wonderful worker and became a close friend. Great sense of humor, very organized. I also worked for her father when I was in college, working at Truesdale Funeral Home - he was manager. So pleased to have a long relationship with this fine family. Talked to her just about 6 months ago, she called me and I immediately recognized her voice. May she rest in peace.

We are so sorry about Sylvia. She was such a Godly woman and a delight to know. We are sorry about you all being denied visitation with her as well. Hold your precious memories close to your heart and know you will see her again.
