Tammy Jean Lewis, 58, Kalamazoo passed away peacefully on Friday, June 11,, 2021, at 7:34 a.m. with her family by her side.

Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Irene Lewis, and her Best Friend, Linda Messman.

Tammy was born on August 3, 1962, in Michigan City, IN, to Melvin and Irene (Iseminger) Lewis.  She has two sisters, Sherry Mougros and Heidi Lewis who both survive.  She attended Elston High School and spent most of her adult life in Michigan City working hard as a server and raising her four children.

In 2003, Tammy moved to Kalamazoo MI, to be with her longtime friend and companion, Mr. Reza Mansouri, who survives.  She worked for “Theo and Stacey’s” Restaurant where she served for more than 15 years. She gained many special friends and has shared countless stories about her “regulars” and well as fond memories with her employers, Tessi and Elliot Kokkinos, who always treated her like family.

Tammy was a lifelong Chicago Bears fan, who loved to travel, listen to classic rock and was known to have great luck playing KENO. She could tell you about every episode of “Little House On The Prairie” and would often profess her love for Michael Landon. Her frank personality was one of a kind; having the perfect mix of compassion and truth, it was hard not to like.

May she forever be remembered for her sparkling blue eyes, infectious smile and most importantly, for her ever-giving heart.  She would always find a way to help anyone in need. Her soul was pure, and it was evident to all those who knew her.  She will forever be missed and may she now rest in eternal peace.

Tammy is survived by her father, Melvin Lewis, her 4 children: Bryan (Melissa) Moisan, Branden Moisan, Bridgette Parkhouse, Brittney (Chad) Bailey, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.  2 special bonus daughters; Sophie and Amanda Mansouri, and her partner of 23 years, Reza Mansouri.
