Teressa Ann (Baker) Quick passed away at her home under hospice care in the loving arms of her husband on June 29, 2020. She was born on May 31, 1934 to the late Lyle & Rubey (McClain) Baker in Kalamazoo, MI. On February 23, 1952 she married the love of her life, Laddie Quick who survives. On Sundays and holidays, you could find her at home cooking dinner for anyone that stopped to visit. She had a selfless and generous spirit. If a babysitter was needed, she would volunteer in a heartbeat. Teressa was a Charter Member of St. Catherine of Sienna in Portage. She was devoted to her faith in the Lord and would volunteer for many activities up until her illness prevented her from doing so. She worked as a substitute rural mail carrier with the US Postal Service while her children were in school. When her mother could no longer work as a Meal Site Manager for Senior Services, she stepped-in to help for many years. Teressa’s family was her life. She leaves behind many wonderful memories to cherish. Together with Laddie she raised five children who survive, Susan (Andy) Sayles, Jackie (David) Shirey, Larry (Linda) Quick, Dan (Jean) Quick, Cheryl (Tim) Wilks; fourteen grandchildren, Aaron Sayles, Nichole Sayles, Ashley Sayles, Brian (Grace) Shirey, Jock (Kim) Shirey, Nick (Julie) Barber, Elaine Quick, Nathan (Robin) Quick, Janelle Quick, Jabin (Christina) Quick, Teressa (Cole) Bressler, Tiffany Wilks, Jennifer Williams, Jason Wilks; twelve great-grandchildren, Willa, Todd, Noah, Wyatt, Makena, Madi, Haylee, Evan, Tucker, Logan, Taylor, Chris; brother, Leo Baker; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was also preceded in passing by an infant son, Laddie R. Quick Jr.; two siblings.
