Ted will be laid to rest privately at Augusta Cemetery. An open house celebration of his life will be postponed to a later date.

Sorry for the loss of an old friend and praying strength for his family. I am also a 59 grad and Ted and Jim provided much entertainlment and joy to our class and high school. His contribution to the music scene in Kalamazoo is very special and his children, grandchildren and many friends can be so proud of his accomplishments and legacy. RIP, Ted. You are now a troubadour in a new and wonderful place!

So sorry to learn of Ted's passing. What a wonderful, talented individual. We are fortunate to have witnessed that great creativity in so many productions over so many years at the New Vic. Our sincere sympathies to Sharon, Jennifer, and the whole Kistler family.

Dear family, we are saddened by the loss of Ted. Ted and Marijo Kistler's contribution to the cultural health and heritage of our city is significant, and their legacy will continue on in the loving hands of family members. Our own personal experiences with the Vic are cherished memories, both attending and participating. Ted was a true original! Blessings, peace, and grace to you all, as you move through your loss together.

Very sad news. The entire Tudor family is grateful for the loving theatre family of the New Vic Theatre! Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the entire Kistler family.

So very sorry to read the sad news of Ted’s passing. Everyone was always made to feel like family at the New Vic, and I know that all of Kalamazoo feels like they’ve lost a beloved family member. Sending my deepest sympathy to Ted’s family and friends. Keeping the Kistler family and friends in my prayers.
