Thomas Andrews Imus, 83, of Paw Paw, passed away Friday, May 1, 2026, at Centrica Rose Arbor Place. Born April 24, 1943 in Kalamazoo to Robert A. and Jean E. (Sikkenga) Imus, Tom grew up working the family dairy farm alongside his parents and siblings. A 1961 graduate of Mattawan High School, he went on to attend Ferris State University before working for many years at R.A. Imus Inc. Chrysler/Dodge Dealership in Paw Paw. A gifted mechanic, Tom continued operation of the family shop after his father’s passing.
A proud lifetime member of the North American Hunting Club, Tom was an avid hunter, fisherman, and gardener who took as much pride in his perfectly mowed lawn as he did in his flower and vegetable beds. Each season he grew beautiful Zinnias for Linda, always keeping fresh bouquets throughout the house. He loved the thrill of a good gamble, and his record casino run clocked in at 26 straight hours.
Tom was preceded in death by his beloved partner of 33 years, Linda M. Robbins; his parents, Robert A. and Jean E. (Sikkenga) Imus; his brothers Clark Imus and Bill Imus; and his sisters Judith Imus and Martha (Imus) Forrest.
He is survived by his children Lisa (Dean) Ransler of Kalamazoo, Troy (Shelly) Imus of Portage, and Tom (Kelly) Imus of Paw Paw; eight grandchildren, Matt and Clint Sutterfield, Taylor and Madison Imus, and Sadie, Emma, Lily, and Ryley Imus; his sister Roberta (Blaine) Rex of Decatur; many nieces and nephews; and his two beloved cats, Lil Bit and Callie, who are in search of a new forever home – together.
