To honor his wishes, no services will be held. For those who wish to honor his memory, contributions may be made to Lucia Harrison Geography Scholarship at Western Michigan University, c/o the funeral home.

I first met Val in 1951 when we were students at Western Michigan and followed his life and career with great interest. We spoke for the last time about a month ago. Rest in peace my friend.

I knew Val while a Grad student @ WMU, he was a personable & Interesting fellow later when I occasionally ran into him at Martells In Parkview Hills
