Age 95, passed away early Friday morning, December 29, 2023. Virginia was born in Saginaw, MI, on January 30, 1928, the daughter of Charles and Marion (Young) Drews. She was married to Earl Hill who preceded her in death in 2006. Virginia was a graduate of the Bronson School of Nursing. She was a Registered Nurse for many years at Bronson Hospital where she met Earl. She was a life-member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a lifetime United Methodist. She was a spunky woman and even tried streaking her hair in her 90’s. Virginia was passionate about her family and although her nursing career was important to her, nothing gave her more joy than being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was always loving and supportive. Virginia is survived by her children, Charlie (Susan) Hill of Kalamazoo, Jim (Dawn) Hill of Paw Paw, Jeanne Washburn of Kalamazoo, Michael (Karen) Hill of Scotts, Marion Hill of Kalamazoo; fourteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; seventeen great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Besides her husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; son, John Hill; son-in-law, Ken Washburn; brother, Charles Drews.
