Age 72, passed away at Bronson Hospital on March 20, 2024. He was born in Kalamazoo on July 16, 1951, the son of the late Walter and Lois (Miller) Strome II. Walter was kind, loving and generous. He had a quiet nature but was a joy to know. He loved nature and animals and was always at peace when spending time outdoors. His passion was fishing, and he spent many summer days on the water. He also enjoyed NASCAR and attended several races. He worked hard to provide a happy home for his family, and he was especially proud of his children and grandchildren. Walter’s smile, laughter and love will be missed by all who know him. He is survived by three loving children, Lance (Gail) Strome, Kati (Andrew Williams) Strome, Andrew (Shannon Miller) Strome; grandchildren, Cassidy Strome, Sierra Field, Bailey Williams, Makayla Williams; sister, Kathy (ted) McNett; nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by his wife Diana (Harper) Strome.
