Age 57, passed away Friday, May 4, 2018. Wendy was a social worker and saw her career as more of a “calling” than a line of work. She was passionate about advocating for her clients. She spent the majority of her career working in mental health, child welfare and medical social work. Wendy loved to read; she loved dancing cooking, yoga and her bathtub. She loved nature, the woods – canoeing, swimming and camping. She loved spending time in her garden. Always curious about life, she loved to learn and explore. She said: “Travel far or around your block – there is so much to see.” She loved her family including her husband, Don Miller; children, Samuel Boase-Miller of Traverse City, Christopher Miller of Kalamazoo, Benjamin Miller of Kalamazoo; mother, Barbara Dawson of Battle Creek; sisters, Amy (Dennis) Bair of Menomonee Falls, WI, Rebecca (James) Taylor of Durham, NC; brother, Todd (Stacey) Dawson of Okemos; many nieces and nephews, and countless friends. She loved her pets, Gracie and Ash. She was preceded in death by her father, Henry Dawson.
