April 13, 1964 - August 30, 2023

In accordance with his wish cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, beginning at 2:00 p.m., at First United Methodist Church, 212 S Park St. Kalamazoo, MI 49007. Memorial contributions may be made to ‘Helping Our Neighbors’ (checks payable to First United Methodist Church), or Out-front Kalamazoo, c/o the funeral home.

I've been thinking a lot about you these last few weeks. You were one of my first friends at Gordon, the one who introduced me to Tolkien (Frodo lives!), Arlo Guthrie, and Tom Paxton. You were the one who showed me that truly following Jesus made you a revolutionary among Christians these days. For all this, I am truly grateful to you. I fondly remember cruising around in your little MG, and barely being able to get back in it after our pancake-eating contest at IHOP and laughing hysterically (what were we thinking!). I am glad you came into my life and happy that you are now pain-free and I'm sure creating even more beautiful art. Hasta luego mi fiel amigo, un fuerte abrazo, Victor
