GOGGIN, William “Bill” J.

Age 83, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2024. Bill was born in Elgin, Illinois on July 22, 1940, the son of the late William J. and Elizabeth V. (Drysdale) Goggin. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, attended Western Michigan University and earned an associate degree from Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He worked for many years as a salesman in the painting business, as well as for her father at Goggin Rental and eventually retired from Parker Hannifin. Bill was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting books. He loved anything to do with cars, including antique cars. Bill loved animals but was especially fond of his dogs. On May 26, 1972, he married Charlotte M. Peterson, who survives. Bill is also survived by his brothers and sisters in-law, Nancy Loftus, Steve Peterson, Stanley “David” (Cara) Peterson, Annette El and Karen Brown; as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sisters, Betty, Nancy and Jesse and brother, John. Cremation will take place and a private family service will be held.
