A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Bill will be laid to rest at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park, North. Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society or the American Kidney Foundation, in c/o the funeral home.

Age 66 of Kalamazoo passed away early Monday morning, June 9, 2025. Bill was born in Three Rivers, on January 25, 1959, the son of Donald L. and Shirley Ann (Double) Lamphiear. On August 4, 1984, he married Allison Caley who survives him. Bill proudly served his nation in the United States Marines and was honorably discharged as a Sargeant. Following his military service, he pursued a career in welding. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing with his kids and grandkids. Besides his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Anthony (Jessica) Lamphiear and Kimberly Lamphiear; grandchildren, Caley Lamphiear, Emily Lamphiear, Juliet Poe, Brent Lamphiear, Brooklyn Lamphiear, Jasmeen Singh; several nieces and nephews; and countless friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his step-mother, Fannie; brother, Randy Smith; sisters, Robin Smith and Valerie Smith.
