A committal service with full military honors will take place at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM (those planning to attend to should arrive to the cemetery and meet in the funeral assembly area by 12:45 PM). Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.

Age 82, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2021. Bill was born in Kalamazoo on October 19, 1939, the son of the late Ted and Katherine Polmanteer. He was a graduate of Mattawan High School, class of 1957. Bill served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corp, “Semper Fi”. He owned and operated Bill’s Front End and Auto for many years. Bill spent his summers on his boat, “The Weekend Warrior” in South Haven with his family. He is survived by his children, Sheri Polmanteer, Laura Peters, Denise Polmanteer and Mary (Duane) Woodman; five grandchildren, Brian (Erin) Hosner, Travis Somers, and Karrlee, Kendra and Katie Polmanteer; many great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends. Besides his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his step-mother who raised him, Ida Polmanteer. A committal service with full military honors will take place at Ft.
