Mr. Seabolt has been cremated per his wishes and he will be interred at Mt. Ever Rest Cemetery in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Bill Seabolt was born to William Allen Seabolt and Lessie Toney on December 5, 1922 in Marion, Indiana. William departed this life on January 26, 2020 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Bill graduated from Benton Harbor High School in 1941. Bill entered the U.S. Army in 1943 and did Basic Training at Fort Warren, Wyoming. He attended Officer Candidate School at Camp Lee, Virginia from July 1943 to October 1943 and he was commissioned Second Lieutenant. Three of his four years of active service during World War II were in the European Theater of Operations with the First Army. His last assignment was as a Company Commander of the 447th Trucking Company of the Third Army. Upon his return home and discharge from the service, he moved first to New York City and then to Chicago, Illinois, were he met and married Paula Mowbay-Campbell on June 26, 1955. To this union, one son was born, William Toney Seabolt, Jr. After marriage, Bill returned to college, and received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Technical Education Degree from Chicago Teachers College and Illinois State Teachers College. He taught in Chicago Public School System for years and retired as an Administrator in April 2001. He moved to Kalamazoo in July 2004. Paula preceded in him in death on July 13, 1980, as did his brother, Dr. Allen Carlyle Seabolt, February 2, 2007, and his sister-in-law, Phyllis “Flea” Eloyse Ash Seabolt on July 13, 2018. His is survived by his son, William Toney Seabolt, Jr. of Washington, DC and his nephew, Allen Carlyle Seabolt, Jr. of Adrian Michigan.
