December 29, 1936 - March 4, 2023

In accordance with his wishes, no funeral service will take place and a private graveside service will be held at Mt. Ever-Rest Memorial Park – South. Memorial contributions may be given to SPCA of Southwest Michigan or the Alzheimer’s Association.

When I first came to Kalamazoo to work in the office at Globe Construction (now Michigan Paving) as a punk college kid, Roy took me in as a project. He allowed me to overcome my book education with his guidance about everything that was site construction. His calm and patient demeanor as well as his willingness to impart his knowledge helped me grow in this industry. We relied on him and his guys for the preparation of hundreds of projects for paving over the 17 years I got to work with him. He will always remain an important part of Kalamazoo's construction history. My thoughts and prayers go out to Kathy, Gary, and the rest of the family.
