A service in witness to Barbara’s life and faith will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, beginning at 1:00 p.m. Anyone who desires to leave a memorial tribute can do so at either Centrica Care Navigators - Southwest Michigan Hospice, Bronson Hospital - Advanced Illness Management, Fiddlehead Music Therapy, or the Heritage Community Foundation of Kalamazoo Michigan. These organizations and their staff were extraordinary in the provision of care to Barbara and her family throughout her final journey.

To Barb's family, please know that I am thinking of you during these days of loss. She was a fine lady and she and Bob were such dedicated members of Parchment Methodist Church. She was always there to help with projects and committees as needed. Even in later days when she would see things going on at church or in the parking lot, she would come over to check to see if there was any help needed. She served with me on the Staff Parish Committee for several years and never missed a meeting. Both she and Bob were great people and dedicated to the church. I am sorry I could not attend the service in her memory but will always be glad that she was a part of our fellowship. Sincere condolences. Marti Poolman

Dear Cousins - Scott & I are so sorry for your loss. Aunt Barb was such a great fun lady and she will be missed. We will always remember coming out to visit & taking over the Parchmont house and then coming out to see you all at Schauble Lake. Such fun memories and love. The video is wonderful and made me cry. There was even a picture with Dad in it! I believe in my heart that everyone is together, playing cards at the cottage and having a little fun/trouble. You have such a great family, take care of each other. With our Love Scott & Sally

Paulette and family - Robert and I are so sorry to hear of Barbs passing…she was so lovely and had a pure heart! She loved you all so very much but she is with her Sweetheart, Bob now that he’s made a place for her. I loved watching them dance at any Parker activity! She was my 2nd friend at Waterlift after Bob Haney. I know you’ll miss her and you will see her again❤️With love - Terri

Couldn’t ask for an Aunt much better than her; She was loving and funny, a gift from God, for sure! Aunt Barb and Uncle Bob, what a couple they made; So different and yet for one another, each the perfect mate. And her laugh I can still hear, although it had been quite some time; Since I had seen her: that is truly a loss of mine! She laughed with her eyes too, what a special gift she had; Sharing her love for family always made her so glad. A sweet embrace she always gave to make you feel her love; It was honest and pure, now we will need to receive from above. Because our newest angel is up there for sure; Back with Uncle Bob where her thoughts are clear: Heaven is her cure. She and Uncle Bob are with my mom and dad laughing it up. I can almost see them: a bit of trouble, just enough to disrupt. We miss them down here, but in Heaven they belong; We will see them again and ‘til then their love will help us remain strong 💜💚love you so much Aunt Barb
