December 24, 1944 - January 14, 2022

A service in witness to Carol’s life and faith will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Kalamazoo Gospel Mission, Centrica Care Navigators, or Battle Creek Friends Church, c/o the funeral home.

I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Carol. I would have come to her memorial had I known in advance when it was. My prayers are with you all.

Condolences and prayers of encouragement and strength to the Patterson family. Carol was a very kind and gracious volunteer at our COVID vaccine clinics, and despite the long hours she always had words of encouragement at the end of her shift. Carol would share stories of her grand and great grandchildren, seeing her smile and laugh about their reaction to situations was priceless. Thank you to Carol's family for sharing her with us.

We were shocked by the passing of Carol, such a strong, vibrant, loving person, she will be missed. The family is going to miss her strong leadership and loving guidance for a long time. She left you with strength and a strong faith that will help you cope. She and your dad were a great team together and super parents. They are in the arms of Jesus.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Oh what an honor it was to have known Carol. She was always so loving, kind and compassionate. She loved her family to the depth of her being and it was so evident. She will be greatly missed by so very many of us. Our prayers are with all of you as you move through the coming days and weeks ahead. May you feel the love and peace that only God can provide in your sorrow.

Penny, Lisa, Brian. I am thinking of you all at this difficult time. I am so sorry for the loss of your precious, beautiful Mom. My condolences to the family and friends that are grieving as well. She was a remarkable lady.
