Daniel Losure, age 59, passed away at home on Wednesday afternoon, January 20, 2021 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on February 9, 1961, the son of Kenneth and Connie (Endsley) Losure. Dan graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High school in 1979 and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. He became a Tool and Die Maker in the plastics industry. On December 10, 1999, he married Kathy Littell and they most recently celebrated 21 years of marriage. Those who knew Danny can testify he was truly one-of-a kind, his personality filled a room. He was hysterically funny, deeply sentimental, brutally honest, and quite the animated story teller. He teased, a lot, and if you were tough, he’d jokingly stop calling you “cupcake” – he had an endearing nickname for everyone he liked and didn’t like. Danny loved big, hugged hard and was generous; giving you anything he had that would help you out. He loved the ocean, playing golf, and watching NASCAR and football. He was a collector of several things like stamps, shot glasses, baseball cards, and an avid Numismatist. He also painted and was usually busy making someone in the family a gift. He loved his family deeply, and will be incredibly missed. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ashlie Losure and his father. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Kathy, his mother, Connie Losure, siblings, Amy (Dan) Foster, brother, Todd Losure, his children, Alyssa (Kieran) Dunn, Kenneth (Andrea) Losure, and his step children, Michelle (Mike) Nap, Rhonda Klein, Nicole Raymond, as well as his beloved grandchildren who called him, PawPaw, Marissa “Chipmunk” Tod, Madison “Maddie” Klein, Mason “Little Buddy” Greenwell, MacKenzie “Chunky Monkey” Greenwell, Logan Nap, and Hendrix Raymond, along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and other extended family.
