Age 68, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. He was born in Kalamazoo, MI, on September 10, 1951, the son of the late Egbert and Angeline (Poortenga) Triemstra. He was raised in Kalamazoo and graduated from Kalamazoo Christian High School Class of 1969. Dan had a strong faith in the Lord, was kind, loving and generous. His warm smile and great sense of humor made him a joy to know. He was a hard worker and spent his career working in the Greenhouse Industry. When not at work he enjoyed woodworking, but above all Daniel loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He leaves them with many fond memories of a life well lived and he will be missed by all. On June 4, 1971, he married his high school sweetheart, Marcia (Miersma) Triemstra who survives. He is also survived by three children, Steve (Kristy) Triemstra, Cheryl (Mike) King, Greg (Marnie Wills) Triemstra; five grandchildren, Ryan, Jordan, Kailey, Ashlyn Triemstra and Parker King; four siblings, Barb (Roger) Dekker, Tom (Ann) Triemstra, Nancy (Paul) Miersma, Kay Triemstra; sister-in-law, Charlene Triemstra; nieces, nephews and friends. He was also preceded in passing by a brother, Chuck Triemstra.
