I met Joe when moved into the Lakewood neighborhood and started hanging out with my cousin. Him and I share a birthday but I am a year older.... he was Uncle Joe to my kids and JP or Joe to me .... he could always make anyone smile ... he had a good heart and loved many but none more than Lisa and his kids and grandkids. You will be missed my friend, my birthday buddy ... Joes gone fishing y’all ?

My condolences to the family and friends. I grew up briefly with Joe. He was a handsome, witty fella. He was funny and we had some fun times with our other friends. It is a sad thing that God had to take him home before his time, apparently he had other plans for him. Rest easy Joe and make sure you catch that big one.

Joe was my friend from 6th grade till the day he left this world...we had a one of a kind relationship...I could cuss him out and he could and would say or do anything to get me fired up but we still loved each other... Joe fought his demons from the time he was born I swear...but he loved his kids and grandkids and told me all the time that he and Lisa loved my kids like their own ...we were blessed to have them in our lives...I will forever be grateful I will miss his crude sense of humor...he could joke and make me laugh even when I wanted to punch him in the face. I find comfort in knowing he isnt have to fight anymore...miss ya buddy
