February 8, 1940 - March 21, 2023

The family is planning a private memorial event. Gene will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery, Comstock. Memorial contributions may be given to Centerpoint Senior Ministries or Centrica Care Navigators, in c/o the funeral home. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. - 2 Timothy 4:7-8

Share your Memorial with Family & Friends

Worshiped and served with Gene at the Covenant Church of Kalamazoo for many years. I will remember our time together fondly and with gratitude as I considered Gene one of my early Christian mentors. May you now be dancing and worshiping in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus and with all of those who arrived before you. Peace to the family and peace to his memory!

Gene was my cousin Marilyn’s husband. they honeymooned at my parents home in Florida. I only met him a few times but I always knew he loved his family and put them first in his life esp Marilyn. cherish your memories Brown family
