Janet was my sweet, sweet cousin. She was such a gem, and never changed. I moved so much throughout my life, but every time we reconnected, she was the same sweetheart and always had that twinkle in her eye (just like Great Aunt Mary, who also loved Janet VERY dearly). I didn’t spend much time with the boys, but got to know Bonnie a bit when Janet and I visited. I was so impressed by the wonderful mother/daughter relationship they had. Bonnie, you are very blessed. I’m so sorry I didn’t make more effort in recent years to visit your mom, but I know we’re going to see each other again in Paradise, and it will be so Perfect! May God bless and comfort you all during this sad time.

To all the Courtade Family & Rick Rice, Janet and I were only four months apart in age, and our parents were very good friends ( Jim & Ruth Burns) … while our parents would visit and play cards Janet, myself and some of the other “kids” had a good time playing, especially when they lived on the farm! I hadn’t seen Janet in many years, we were Facebook friends and enjoyed seeing each other’s grandchildren’s pictures… I was very saddened to learn that Janet had an illness and it took her life. I was also saddened that it happened so soon after she married again! Rick even though we have never met I am so sorry for your loss, especially so soon after your marriage to Janet. To the Courtade family I offer my sincere sympathy in the loss of Janet. Sincerely, Denise (Burns) Teunis

Janet was one of my favorite cousins, she was beautiful inside and out. Always a smile and a kind word. I will miss her.

I worked with Janet for many years and became good friends with her. We had a lot of fun together and shared happy times and sad as well. When Janet moved to GR we lost track of each other. I thought of Janet many times and hoped that she was having a good life. I am saddened that Janet is no longer here on earth. I can only imagine she is up in Heaven doing what she does best with her infectious smile. Fly high my friend, Rest in Heaven. Until we meet again. Deb

I never got a chance to personally meet Janet, I did however work with Rick for over 19 years and he is my friend.. I remember pulling up to work one day and Rick coming over to tell me that he had gotten married. He was so happy! I thank God for their Union! It is my hope that Rick and Janet’s entire family will carry her memory and love, in their hearts! Be Blessed-
