Family will receive friends on Wednesday April 10, 2019 at 11 a.m., followed by a funeral service beginning at 11:30 a.m.. at Northeastern Baptist Church located at 6536 East G. Avenue, Kalamazoo, Michigan, with Hal Derksen and Greg Bishop officiating. Lloyd will be laid to rest with full military honors on April 10, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Those wishing to attend the committal ceremony are asked to arrive to the cortege area no later than 1:15 p.m. In lieu of flowers, families are encouraged to make memorial contributions to RBM Ministries or Northeastern Baptist Church, c/o the funeral home.

Age 77, passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2019 in Kalamazoo. Lloyd was born on June 18, 1941, the son of Lloyd Judson and Sarah Louise (Kenmore) Gosa, Sr. in Americus, Georgia. After graduating from high school, Lloyd attended Georgia Southwestern University, graduating in 1961, followed by University of Georgia, then attended Georgia Southern University, gradating in 1965, with a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary science. Lloyd then joined the United States Air Force and honorably served our country during the Vietnam War. Upon returning from service, he went back to school and attained his Master’s of Theology from Tennessee Temple University in 1971. On August 15, 1970, he married the love of his life, Stella (Bolhuis) Gosa and most recently celebrated 48 years of marriage. Together, they made a beautiful life, which included serving the Lord and providing a sense of kindness and gratitude to anyone that they met. Lloyd was a man who walked the walk and lived his life with a wonderful sense of humor and humility. He retired from UpJohn Company as an Antibiotic Researcher, after 25 years of service. His zest for life and the love he gave to others is his legacy. He was a member of Northeastern Baptist Church and will be missed by his church family, as well. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents and leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Stella and their daughter, Joyann Louise Gosa of Kalamazoo and many special cousins.
