January 26, 1949 - October 19, 2019

A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Portage United Church of Christ, 2731 W. Milham Ave., Portage, MI 49024, with Rev. Mary Kay Schueneman officiating. A time of visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the service. A light luncheon will follow the service. Memorial contributions in Kim’s memory may be made to the Portage United Church of Christ Love Fund. As an alternative to a monetary gift and a way to honor Kim’s love for animals, the family suggests bringing items (food, treats, blankets, etc.) to the church on the day of the service or directly to a local animal shelter. My prayers go out to Kim's family. I will miss the chats regarding his family and oh those granddaughters! He was one of my first supervisors at VBCMH 25 plus years ago. I will miss him, he was truly a wonderful man, devoted husband, father and Grandfather. God Bless!

Aunt Rose and Family we were so shocked to hear of my uncle Kim\'s passing. Mom thought of Kim as a brother. He always was a great uncle to me. He always came into my room to talk with me when they came to visit. He always had stories and lots of cool stuff. We will miss his laughter and historic knowledge. I know it is going to be hard for a while, but as everyone tells you it does gets easier. We are so happy you all got to take a vacation together as a family. You know he loved you all very much. He lived his life to the fullest and he left this earth in the manner in which he wanted. Please know we are here for you. Love Pat- Sister/ Aunt and Danny- Nephew/ cousin
