July 18, 1962 - October 14, 2021

In accordance with his wish, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 30th at 1pm at Christian Assembly of God located at 7835 Lovers Lane, Portage MI, 49002 Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation for Sarcoidosis Research c/o the funeral home.

Mark may never know the how much Jan & I miss him. He did know the fellowship, friendship and joy we had when we were together with him and Kathy. To us, Mark & Kathy were like family. Cannot count how many times Mark has help me. I saved his Bible lessens in a binder. We enjoy dinner, breakfast, coffee and snacks together. In my many trips to Grand Rapids for my eye operation, Mark and Kathy were there for me. Jan, just said to me, it just doesn't seem real on our friend Mark's passing. Mark and Kathy provided that zest, that flavor in life. I know you are at rest with Jesus. Goodbye my friend.

Mark was very much a second father to me. The second Jenn introduced me to him and Kathy, they immediately took me on as a second daughter figure. When he married my husband, Mike and I, I'll never forget when he asked Mike if he was sure he wanted to marry me knowing my lack of cooking skills. He was always around for an ear and a hug. I loved our one liner comebacks we used to get in to. As hard as it is to accept he's no longer physically here, he will always be in my heart and watching over me. Mark, I love and miss you.
