Nancy was a kind soul who taught me so much. I’m forever grateful for memories made, laughs shared & the quiet passionate wisdom she was always willing to share. She was family to us & we loved her. She is already dearly missed & the world just seems a bit darker without her humor & smile. I imagine her in Santorini with Susan & the dogs who passed before her. God bless the family during this most difficult time.

Although I haven’t spent time with Nancy since moving away, she will always be a dear gardening friend. In her memory, I will install “coolie” plants. Peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy’s family. She was kind, understanding and sometimes stubborn, but she had a huge heart and a beautiful smile. She will be missed by many. Godspeed, my friend

From the first day I met Nancy, I loved her. As my aunt through marriage, she always made me feel very welcome as I joined the Marttila family. My kids and I will never forget her with her sweet Rottweilers at her side wherever she went. It was hilarious to watch our little wiener dogs try to befriend them. Nancy was such a friendly, smart, funny, helpful person and I am proud and blessed to have known her. I am keeping Nana, Sally, Jane, Mike and the entire Marttila clan in my heart as they traverse the road of grief and remembrance and may they share in all the good memories as they support each other during this difficult time.
