A service to commemorate Shirley’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home, 917 S. Burdick St. Friends may call on the family one hour prior to service at 1:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the West Michigan Cancer Center, c/o the funeral home.

Shirley was the closest thing I had for a mother, cuz mine passed away when I was 11 years old. She was a good person! When I moved into my first apartment, Shirley and her daughter Robin surprised me with a Christmas tree and a hand-stitched skirt to go around it! They knew that I didn't have one and couldn't afford one! I will miss Shirley immensely!
