Age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Taressa was born in Kalamazoo, on November 18, 1935, the daughter of Ervin and Ethel (Mohney) Renew. She was married to Donald Haynes who preceded her in death in 1968. Taressa worked for many years in housekeeping at Friendship Village. In her spare-time she enjoyed crocheting afghans and hats for her kids and grandkids. She also liked making peanut butter fudge and cookies and had often won first and second place awards in the St. Joseph County Fair with her peanut butter cookies. Taressa is survived by her children Brian (Cheryl) Julien, Tracy (Peter) Bogema and Donnie (Joan) Haynes; grandchildren, Keith (Trisha) Julien, Brad (Cristi) Julien, Amy (Aaron) Payton, Jacob (Megan) Bogema, Brittany (Jon) Skaggs, Travis (Carly) Bogema, Taylor, Brandon, Dylan and Jenna Haynes; sister, Juanita Birdwell; a very special friend, Midge Engelman; many other relatives and countless friends. Besides her husband, Taressa was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Norman, Ervin and Dale Renew; and a sister Jean Kelley.
