Our “No-Pressure” Policy

Many funeral homes have subscribed to having an aggressive pre-arrangement program. These programs are designed to increase call volume and gain market share through the sale of pre-paid funeral plans and often feature consistent direct mail contact, telemarketers, and sales people who are commissioned.

Many times the sales person will suggest easy ways to get the plan started. These plans, while appealing at first glance, are costly. They are often funded with a life insurance product and feature a “cost of coverage” element, which adds to the amount that the consumer will pay.

At Joldersma & Klein we maintain a “no-pressure” policy when it comes to prearranging a funeral. We are not a sales organization. We believe that our call volume and market share will grow as a result of our quality service at a fair price and reasonable price.

We never want you to purchase anything you don’t want or need.

If you wish to pre-pay, we welcome the opportunity to assist you. We have payment and non-payment options when it comes to prearranging your funeral plan. Payment plans are available, should you desire or need to use one. We offer both insurance and trust funding in keeping with Michigan law.

If you are considering pre-planning, we invite you to speak with us. One of our non-commissioned funeral service professionals can meet with you to discuss your options.  If you are speaking with a representative from another funeral home, we invite comparison and would welcome the opportunity to give you a cost quotation, without any obligation.
